Description:

The role
As part of our Business Development group, The Procurement Officer- SQAP is a member of the Procurement Team and is the dedicated procurement support to the Supplier Quality Assurance Program as well as assisting other projects, programs and corporate functions, when needed. The role is split 50/50 with regards to duties between Procurement and SQA.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Assess and approves suppliers together with the SQA Manager
  • Assists with assessment and qualification of suppliers for global procurement opportunities within the Saab Group
  • Supports with maintenance and improvements of the Approved Supplier List and the associated schema for categorising suppliers
  • Identifies risks and creates mitigation strategies associated with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Performs due diligence activities and tasks based on the developed strategies
  • Ensures that risks associated with suppliers are communicated to risk owners and managed
  • Coordinates Supplier audit activities together with the SQA Manager
  • Supports the SQA Manager during Supplier audits when needed (from a procurement standpoint)

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline level or have the ability to gain one.
