The Procurement Sustainability Manager, will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices within our supply chain operations. This role requires a collaborative and proactive professional with a good understanding of supply chain processes, environmental and social responsibility, and a proven track record of supporting Sustainability initiatives in a large corporate setting. This candidate must be an agile learner and will focus on developing trends in the Sustainability space and how those trends fit into Xylem’s overall program maturity.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Help develop, mature, and execute a comprehensive Procurement Sustainability strategy aligned with the company’s overall Sustainability goals.
- Partner with Global Category Management teams to embed Sustainability into category strategies, supporting strategy maturity and provide project management support.
- Develop and lead the annual training calendar WASH/Watermark/CDP, focused on cascading education efforts from the Global Category Management team through site-level procurement.
- Develop and implement Xylem’s WASH, Watermark, CDP vision and strategy aligned with Xylem’s goals and values.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability goals into procurement processes.
- Keep up to date with European Compliance topics related to Procurement, supporting the development and implementation of processes required to be compliant.
- Develop and implement tools to track KPIs and report on established goals and metrics.
- Engage and collaborate with Suppliers, educating them on Xylem’s Sustainability Strategy and providing specific support and working groups.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in sustainability, procurement, supply chain management or related
- Ability to prepare and influence Higher Management strategic decisions
- Ability & experience of assessing and designing Business Processes in an industrial environment
- Good knowledge of supply chain KPI’s and Sustainability factors
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good knowledge of Procurement processes & procedures
- Good knowledge of supply chain related Sustainability/compliance management
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Ability to travel as required by the position
