POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the company’s procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services. You will work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement in Events and marketing or communications industry.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and obtaining the best prices and terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws and regulations in the UAE is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify and source reliable suppliers for goods and services required by the company.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms.
  • Conduct market research to identify new products and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all orders, contracts, and negotiations.
  • Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
  • Evaluate and analyze supplier proposals and make recommendations to the management team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely payments and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
