Produce Assistant / Supervisor

As a Produce Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of freshness, quality, and presentation of our produce section. You’ll be part of a vibrant team, ensuring our fruits and vegetables are displayed attractively, assisting customers with their queries, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A passion for quality food and customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or challenges.
• Previous experience in produce is advantageous.

• Ensure the produce display is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Conduct quality checks to maintain the highest standards of freshness and remove any damaged items.
• Assist customers with questions, including providing advice on produce selection and storage.
• Work closely with the produce manager to manage inventory and minimise waste.
• Participate in setting up promotional displays and seasonal adjustments to the produce section.
• Hours – to be determined, but will involve some evenings and weekend work.
• Role to be part time or full time depending on the candidate
