In 2022, subscription-based organic produce and grocery delivery company Mama Earth Organics was added to the Fresh City family, bringing farmers, makers and eaters together to deliver a food experience that respects our bodies, our planet, and our shared tomorrow.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchasing
- Category fulfillment for online market:
- Use ERP and associated tools to purchase produce
- Track KPIs using the tools for Margin, Out-of-stock credits, Category growth, Shrink %
- Vendor communications; coordinate purchasing details with vendors, including pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, back orders, returns, delivery dates, and invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure Purchase Orders, Purchase Return Orders, and Transfer Orders are executed & reconciled properly & in a timely fashion.
- Create and share Purchase Orders with vendors for next day needs
- ERP, E-comm platform & product maintenance:
- Keeping our ecommerce platform(s) up-to-date: descriptions and proper product attributes
- Inventory control for Online Next Day by updating RTI tool and Web Availability
- Be accountable for the integrity of product information, such as certifications, sourcing, packaging, and transparency.
- Quality Assurance, Inventory & Receiving
- Inspect Produce upon receipt
- Communicate with Purchasing, Receiving and Set Up teams regarding Produce
- Receive orders and ensure quality and quantity reflect our standards and expectations. Reject poor quality produce
- Confirm inventory of expected shorts/near shorts to advise BP actions
- Receive all Produce orders into NAV and post invoices and notes in Slack
- Ensure all received items make it to their storage locations by directing the Receiving team to do so
- Work with QA Manager to plan and assign weekly produce prep for Set up team
- Report any concerns in the fridges and storage
- Be accountable for all quality control decisions and communicate with Purchasers
- Ensure clear communication with BP team to accommodate all shorts and substitutions
- Business Process
- Process incoming and outgoing inventory items into ERP
- Inventory management by organizing cycle counts, investigating errors and packing line returns or additional needs
- Team cooperation & People Management
- Partnership: work closely with colleagues and suppliers
- Monitor and assign tasks to Receivers : station pull, fridge maintenance, accurate notes on Receiving docs, space maintenance
- Participate in team huddles and share information as needed
- Update shared documents daily (Packing Line, Manifest, Kitchen Orders, Count sheets)
- Communicate with the Packing Line Managers all relevant information for next day’s pack
- Support teams during periods of process improvement and space changesPerform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
