Description:

We are seeking the right individual to fulfill a position as a:

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Understanding of basic functions of the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word.
· Good computer skills, able to learn the company Warehouse Management System (WMS)
· Proven experience ripening fruit
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude
· Must have strong organizational skill and the ability to clearly articulate desired outcomes
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities:

· Manage storage space to ensure all product is kept at a suitable storage temperature based on the stage of fruit, desired customer specifications, arrival dates, etc.
· Plan for gassing cycles based on future sales and available fruit, taking into consideration color, stage, shipment date, and customer specifications. Communicate any concerns with order fulfilment with the category manager(s).
· Conduct audits on fruit to accurately test for ripening progress and fruit stages, involving the Warehouse Leads if fruit has gone outside of the expectation.
· Collaborate with the Sales Team and Warehouse Managers to address quality concerns and document a plan forward.
· Document damaged equipment and submit work-orders to the Maintenance Staff for replacement or repair.
· Train new employees on ripening policies, procedures, and expectations and complete periodic evaluations on existing employees.
· Monitor and complete reporting on discarded product to identify cause and develop plans for future prevention of losses.
· Involvement in inventory checks and cycle counts as required, working alongside the Sales Team to ensure accuracy.
· Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department.
