Producer/ Presenter

Radio producers/presenters are responsible for the audio content of broadcasts via radio, the internet and other mobile platforms. You will be involved in the entire process, from generating ideas to managing the audience response after a programme, and will need to be highly organised and creative.
As a producer, you will work with presenters, engineers and IT staff. Specific responsibilities vary depending on the programme and station, and producers may sometimes take on the role of presenters as well.

In general, you will be required to:

• Generate and research ideas for programmes and pitching for commissions
• Write and read news bulletins
• Source for potential contributors and book interviewees
• Attend pre-production briefings for presenters
• Manage the logistics i.e. getting people, resources and equipment together at the right place at the right time
• Undertake editing, interviewing and reporting duties when necessary
• Present programmes or managing presenters for both pre-recorded and recorded output
• Ensure that copyrights are cleared and understand Media Law
• Convert text, graphics, video and audio files into other formats’ contribute to/make use of an archive of audio resources which can be reused
• Respond to audience feedback, and direct them to other departments when applicable
• Produce and put to use user-generated content

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A Diploma/Degree in a relevant field of study
• Effectively bilingual with good written Chinese communication skills as this role supports Chinese radio stations
• Highly committed, passionate, organised and creative individual who enjoys working in a radio production environment
• Have a keen interest in Business and Finance news
• Familiar with audio editing software such as Audacity
