Working Days: 37.5 hours to be worked between Monday and Friday. Hours to be worked between 9am and 5.30pm.
WHAT KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE SHOULD I HAVE?
- Proven experience in sales, team management, retail, or product advisory roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with retail staff and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of the payments industry and familiarity with POS solutions is a plus.
- Ability to travel to various retail locations as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Product Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and promoting brand advocacy within designated retail environments. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive product knowledge and training to sales advisors, general managers (GMs), and regional managers (RMs) to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the customer experience. Additionally, you will actively engage in merchandising activities to ensure displays are prominently showcased and fully operational.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide expert product knowledge and training to sales advisors, GMs, and RMs within assigned retail locations.
- Develop and deliver engaging training sessions to educate retail staff on the products, features, and benefits.
- Build strong relationships with retail staff to encourage brand advocacy and drive sales.
- Merchandise SumUp displays to ensure they are visually appealing, fully stocked, and operational at all times.
- Conduct regular assessments of display presence and make necessary adjustments to optimize visibility and impact.
- Organize and participate in physical sales events to promote the products and increase market share.
- Collaborate with the strategic merchandising team to provide front-line support and insights.
- Monitor and report on retail and consumer insights to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform product positioning and sales strategies.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to retail staff to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience with the products.
- Create training content for merchandising team, retailers and events.
- Support the strategic merchandising team, providing front line support and cascade feedback to SumUp’s National Coordinator.
- Identify in store opportunities to grow sales and either self-initiate or feedback to internal stakeholders
The perfect individual for this unique role will have a demonstrable track record showcasing:
- Technology experience preferred and an interest in Technology is a must.
- Previous experience in customer service and team management.
- Be creative when faced with challenges and sharing best practice with peers.
- Confident to proactively work on your own and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy (ability to comfortably navigate in multiple technology applications)
