Description:

POSITION

The Product Management department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Product Analyst. This is a full-time, exempt position based out of the Sandy, Utah headquarters. Hybrid work from home 2 days/office 3 days schedule is available. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS

The most qualified Product Analyst candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, insurance, math, accounting, or a similar field of study.
  • Two years or more of related work experience or insurance coverage knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to quickly identify cause and effect relationships.
  • Successful completion of projects showing self-motivation and pride of ownership.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Business insurance product and coverage knowledge preferred.
  • Database querying experience is a plus.

Ability to hire at the entry associate level or regular level.
An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze competitor rates and products features.
  • Analyze internal and external loss, premium, and sales data.
  • Prepare and maintain rate manuals and rating algorithms.
  • Prepare rates and rule filings in accordance with state regulations.
  • Prepare and monitor growth and profitability related reports.
  • Communicate finding and recommendations within the product management department and to other areas of the company.
  • Prepare and communicates detailed business requirements for product changes.
  • Represent product leaders in their absence.
  • Support product team by obtaining, analyzing, and communicating internal and external information about business insurance products.
  • Help with the implementation of pricing changes and the design and implementation of product feature changes.Work closely with other departments on related issues, research, and initiatives.
