JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product and Proposition Manager is a highly visible role that will span across the full spectrum of strategic and operational activities related to managing and growing a portfolio of services in a rapidly evolving market. This challenging role is a great opportunity to manage all aspects of a product cycle, from an innovative idea until the go-to-market. You will have the possibility to team up with a variety of different professionals, including Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, Customer Solutions, Operations and Data Scientists, both in Italy, in Europe and globally. It is important to have an innovative mindset, being able to listen to clients and colleagues and have an analytical mind to plan a roadmap according to a specific methodology, build viable business cases and monitor the product evolutions and scaling operations. It is a customer facing role and it is equally important to have drive, enthusiasm and a strong commercial flair to identify opportunities to grow, define strategies to differentiate our products from the competitors, win new business and foster customer loyalty. Finally, this role requires a solid technological background and previous experience in high-tech and data driven environments, preferably handling products based on advanced analytics / ML components in context such as anti-fraud solutions and credit risk assessments. The role will be expected to continue the strong momentum already created in sales and service innovation and taking it to the next level by looking to scale current and new innovative capabilities and to further optimize of our end-to-end client engagement model. In particular, the focus will be AI propositions based on traditional and alternative data to generate innovative scores and attributes to boost a wide range of Insights. The ideal candidate will manage the go-to-market process from the original idea until the launch or will support the scaling and the evolution of existing AI solutions. The Data capabilities areas the role is going to be focused on are related to: 1) Scores and Attributes – It is a key initiative and a revenue driver for the Italian Market. This proposition relates to the built of new generation credit risk score and sets of attributes particularly indicated to boost our clients insights, enable an improved segmentation and accurate assessment along the entire credit lifecycle. 2) Alternative data – a suite of scores based on alternative and consented data. These are end-to-end solutions that are usually consumed in the context of instant consumer and SME lending in real time. 3) Analytics as a service this proposition includes Ascend Sandbox and Convex and enable clients to carry out big data ingestion, manipulation, modelling, reporting, visualization as well as the testing and deployment through Ascend Ops. A comprehensive and compliant solution for co-development with high security standards. Background and Approach required: • Bachelor’s degree in economics, data science, statistics and similar subjects • 4-6 years’ experience product and business management / analytics consultancy in areas such as lending, fintech, analytics services, credit management in financial institutions. • Analytical and problem-solving skills, passion for innovation and technology, solid knowledge of product management related to integrated advanced analytics solutions, AI/ML. • Results oriented, visionary with a forward looking mind • Ability to transform ideas into products and services, managing all aspects of product design and development until the go-to-market and including engaging with clients to refine and scale • Ability to observe the new trends, monitor competitors and benchmark analytics solutions with a view to elaborate viable business cases and monetization strategies with a specific focus on the finance market • Strong communication and influencing skills – able to turn complex topics into clear arguments to gain understanding • Self-motivated, quick learner, able to work under pressure and manage different stakeholders • Ability to work with clients, partners, suppliers – internal and external to the organization • Fluent English and Italian speaking and writing. Knowledge of the French language will be an advantage • Availability to travel • Appreciated also experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, WPS, SAS and with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, data science, statistics and similar subjects
  • 4-6 years’ experience product and business management / analytics consultancy in areas such as lending, fintech, analytics services, credit management in financial institutions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, passion for innovation and technology, solid knowledge of product management related to integrated advanced analytics solutions, AI/ML
  • Ability to transform ideas into products and services, managing all aspects of product design and development until the go-to-market and including engaging with clients to refine and scale
  • Fluent English and Italian speaking and writing. Knowledge of the French language will be an advantage
