About the Cardiopulmonary Business Unit: Our Cardiopulmonary Business Unit offers a unique portfolio of leading cardiopulmonary products, including the world’s #1 heart-lung machine. Position Overview: If you have a proven track record in medical devices capital service and repair and/or Biomed experience in the Canadian hospital environment, join us to support our Cardiopulmonary portfolio, including the Essenz Perfusion System, Xtra Autotransfusion System, and 3T Heater / Coolers.
Role: Product and Technical Support Manager, Cardiopulmonary Division. In this role you will support the national parts depot, and provide emergent support nationally. Success in this role requires personal motivation, drive, and the ability to build long-term relationships with biomed departments.

Service Depot and Territory Management

  • Oversee the Service Depot repair and reconditioning program.
  • Act as Field Service Representative for designated Field Territory.
  • Process incoming equipment returned for service.
  • Manage parts inventories.
  • Develop and maintain a loaner pool of equipment assets.
  • Provide input on product performance and technical issues both in the Depot and in designated Field Territory.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment both in the Depot and in designated Field Territory.
  • Sell service business within the territory in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in service delivery.
  • Communicate technical findings for problem resolution.
  • Manage documentation in Service Management System

Education and Training:

  • Deliver a range of training programs to Biomed customers.
  • Assist with training Sales staff, support trade shows and customer visits.

Project Implementation and Coordination:

  • Lead the implementation of service projects for devices in the Canadian market
  • Act as the primary liaison between LivaNova Canada and North American Technical Service staff.
  • Contribute to technical plans and strategies that align with business goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay current on company products, technology changes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage company assets, including tools, test equipment, inventory, and documentation.
  • Complete required paperwork and administrative tasks promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of field service experience in the medical device industry and/or biomed experience in a hospital system.
  • Proven experience in supporting medical device capital installation, repair and service support in a hospital setting. Experience educating and training hospital staff on the safe and effective use of capital.
  • Requires two-year technical college diploma or higher.
  • Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area.

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $88,000- $110,000 CAD + bonus potential.
