Description:

As a Product Assurance Engineer in Spire you will be responsible for driving product quality to meet exacting standards. This is a growing area as we develop our fleet and take on new missions and you will have the opportunity to shape the PA processes and practices.

KEY SKILLS

  • Strong experience in the Space/Aerospace or similar domain
  • Knowledge of Space Product Assurance Standards
  • Extensive experience in Quality (preferably as Project / Product PA)
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills
  • Capability to effectively coordinate and delegate

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of ECSS (preferred)
  • Proactivity, open-mindedness
    Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in office.
    Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required for this role. If needed, Spire will arrange the necessary licenses—this is not something candidates need to have before applying.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will ensure the implementation of all Product Assurance tasks on institutional projects for the assigned perimeter (project or sub-system), and as such will:

  • Ensure the compliance to project requirements or, as applicable, that deviations are duly documented and justified.
  • Set the PA strategy and process implementation for Spire
  • Ensure that project activities are carried out in compliance to Company Quality Management System, applicable Standards and Regulations
  • Establish and maintain appropriate interface with the Customer Quality representative, for all relevant PA matters.
  • Drive and own the definition of reliability, dependability & safety analysis requirements drawn from the customer specification
  • Interface with Project Management team for all relevant PA matters.
  • Establish the Project PA Plan (if applicable) in accordance with the PA requirements and ensure that it is correctly implemented throughout the Project.
  • Ensure Non-Conformities are managed according to applicable requirements and processes internally and within suppliers, ensuring proper visibility to the Customer.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Project Quality team, ensuring that the PA Plan is correctly flowed down at all levels, internally and towards external suppliers.
  • Prepare selected Quality documents under her/his responsibility, and verify/approve other project Quality documents.
  • Ensure a proper reporting of Quality aspects towards the Customer, the PMO and the management.
  • Control technology validations and hardware and component qualification according to the Development Plan.
  • Ensure the participation to (internal and Customer) Project meetings and reviews as relevant, providing Quality contribution whenever necessary.
  • Ensure that lessons learnt are formalized, capitalized & promoted.
  • Ensure that all Risk Management processes are well executed and provide proactive contributions.
  • Ensure that continuous improvement processes are in place and implemented.
