Product Assurance manager for FCC & EVC product

Global Business Enterprise (GBE) Product Quality leader will ensure end-to-end ownership (NPI 1 to 6) for the risk management, risk mitigation, launch, and field issues resolution for entire Garrett GBEs Products with embedded software and electronic motors, to drive top customer satisfaction results. He will ensure objective risk governance and cross-GBE best practices. He is part of the GBEs leadership team. He will define as well engineering development & product assurance process improvement for products with embedded SW. He will assess the quality of the development to ensure ASPICE, ISO26262, and Functional Safety compliance.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree programs in electrical Engineering, preferably a master’s in engineering management, system engineering, or mechatronics. Black belt, 6sigma certified preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Min. 10 years total in engineering functions. Must have both quality and product engineering experience.

KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Quality Management Systems, new product introduction, systems engineering, process engineering and quality, 6 Sigma tools, problem-solving: 8D. Strong knowledge of electronics and software technologies for design and manufacturing.- Ability to understand engineering specifications, process instructions, and test instructions. Familiar with the automotive industry trend, especially linked with Powertrain systems including emission regulations and other legislations. Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, ISO26262, electronic and Software Requirements,

• New product introduction quality: Own and Lead requirements management (including SW and Electronic requirements) & risk management of new product quality, APQP, and product assurance processes and tools with all project teams and functions. Lead system engineering requirements, electrical sub-systems, and software quality/safety compliance. Drive risk management to the GBE level and advise leadership for an effective decision-making to balance the risk and the business success. Valid compliance to ASPICE and functional Safety rules, be GBE’s representative at the Risk Management Council, and provide a PA (Product Assurance) statement, recommendations, and actions if required at phase exit and approve it. Report out the compliance to Garrett processes, escalate and monitor risk gaps, prepare executive assessment for GSLT, ensure full E2E capability of the entire system, capacity in place (internal & external), release of product, processes, End to End ownership of risk identification, risk mitigation, closure of risks, launch issue resolution on time. Reporting updates for APQP measures and overall project quality measures including reliability. Maintain Product quality scorecard per project, Top Defect Matrix, and Design Reviews KPIs for the products. He will develop process quality control to ensure ASPICE, ISO26262 & ASIL level compliance.
• Ensure the entire requirement will be addressed and cascaded to the sub-system. He will verify the testing plan and analyze electronics accordingly, test coverage & capabilities to ensure their quality and usage. Simulations and test cases may be conducted in multiple environments to ensure that the product can stand up to everyday uses. He must also communicate the findings with other professionals such as product managers, domain experts, and system engineers.
• Own and Lead the full resolution of the LIR (Launch Issue resolution) and FIR (Field Issue resolution) from business and technical point of view, with the attributed team of FCC & EV. Manage cross-functional team to address the root causes, elaborate with the Lead Engineer the right corrective actions, and represent GARRETT in front of the customer to share the result or the status of the activities. Ensure timely and effective closure of it.Monitor an LIR and FIR performance dashboard for both FCC & EV GBEs.Driving closed-loop corrective actions from a systems and processes point of view.Manage the base knowledge and lessons learned for product quality across all functions, especially engineering. Act as the main interface for his GBE-related quality metrics and questions. Responsible for measuring the quality of standards and knowledge by GBE, sites, and technologies, as well as the implementation of new products and key issues for customers.
