About the job
We have an exciting opportunity available for a product Compliance Coordinator to join MECCA. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that products sold by MECCA Brands comply with the regulatory requirements of each location in which it is sold. This includes reviewing product artwork to check and verify claims, reviewing the formulation with respect to AICIS, the SUSMP and Customs regulations, and supporting brands to navigate Australian and NZ requirements.
The Role You Could Play
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Liaising with international and local brands to obtain and review all required product information, including ingredient listings, packaging claims and other relevant documents.
- Reviewing products to ensure they comply with all AU and NZ laws and requirements
- Obtaining evidence necessary to ensure efficacy and other (e.g. sustainability) claims can be substantiated and products are accurately represented
- AICIS Ingredient categorisation
- Identifying and advising on any required product changes required to meet relevant laws and/or regulations and working closely with the brand and Merchandise team to ensure required changes are actioned
- Undertaking product category research and reviewing relevant legislation for new and high-risk product categories
- Supporting process & system improvement
- Develop and support delivery of compliance education modules for stakeholders
- Answering queries and providing compliance support to multiple business departments
- Liaising with brands to investigate consumer complaints or queries
- Maintenance of accurate and complete Centric product data
