Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The position of the Product Coordinator is to coordinate the activities of the quotation and sample process for our customer’s flexible packaging needs.

REQUIRED TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

In addition to performing satisfactorily all of the duties and responsibilities of the position, an individual in this position must possess and maintain the following knowledge, skill, qualifications and/or abilities:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred .
2. 1-3 years of experience in the packaging industry preferred.
3. Understanding of chemistry and chemical principals preferred.
4. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English and Korean language at a level adequate to perform job functions.
5. Ability to apply safe practices and procedures for performing the essential functions of the job.
6. Ability to apply logical thinking to solve problems or accomplish tasks.
7. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions promptly and accurately.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
9. Work well in a progressive, team-oriented environment.
10. Have a positive attitude and be a self-starter.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The duties of this position generally involves sedentary office work.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Moderate physical activity is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to sit, talk, see and hear.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop/bend, lift, and frequent repetitive motion and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and normal vision.
  • Frequent use of office equipment including personal computer, copier, postage equipment, telephone and fax machine.
  • The position requires communication with Company employees, customers and other individuals.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 1 - 3 years: Product Coordinator

EDUCATION

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or better in Business Administration or related field
  • Associate’s degree or better in Chemistry

OTHER JOB DUTIES

  1. Demonstrates proficiency in job duties by streamlining processes and procedures and working cooperatively with other team members.
  2. Prepares, gathers information and participates in Applied Engineering Group (AEG), Product Development, and Research and Development (R&D) meetings with other team members to promote continuous improvement.
  3. Relies upon specialized knowledge of film chemistry and the Company’s products and services to produce results for the customer and Company.
  4. Maintains records in Flair approved software with appropriate documents attached and maintains hard copies of records as appropriate.
  5. Learns and understands basic film structures and packaging, and continually strives to expand knowledge of the flexible packaging industry.
  6. Communicates and shares knowledge with other team members.
  7. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  2. Employees shall understand the Food Safety Policy, GMP’s, HACCP Principle and Food Safety Standard.
