EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a data-focused team, with a strong ability to mentor and develop talent.
  • Demonstrable experience in product data management, data analysis or a related role.
  • Experience working with product data in a B2B environment.
  • Proficiency in managing PIM, ERP or CRM systems.
  • Experience in integrating new data sources such as pipelines/APIs for data transfers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Business-savvy with the capability to translate business goals into effective technical solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in data management and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL, Power BI).
  • Experience in creating and enforcing robust data governance policies and procedures is essential.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in e-commerce or a digital product environment.
  • Understanding of data architecture and data warehousing principles.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Manage and optimise all product data across various systems ensuring data accuracy, consistency and availability for cross-functional teams. Develop strategies for data collection, organisation and analysis to support product development, marketing and sales efforts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure product data accuracy, governance, consistency and accessibility.
  • Oversee the collection, storage and updates of product information across systems (e.g. PIM, ERP, CRM).
  • Ensure adherence to organizational product data standards by maintaining processes and policies, while supporting overall compliance.
  • Analyse product performance data to identify trends and opportunities for product optimisation.
  • Identify and eliminate data bottlenecks that hinder operational performance and impact customer experience.
  • Create reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, sales and operations teams to ensure accurate and relevant data is available.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) and internal policies.
  • Provide training and support for cross-functional teams on data systems and best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data management tools and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation of internal audit recommendations to mitigate risks, ensure security and compliance, and enhance data integrity.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of data specialists, ensuring alignment with project goals and fostering professional development and driving culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the SME for the broader business, staying up-to-date with current trends and developing cross-functional processes and solutions.
  • Seek to engage with a diverse network and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and colleagues.
  • Bring enthusiasm and a positive, energetic approach to data management.
