In medieval towns, the market square was the center of community and commerce—a place where people could trade anything openly and fairly. Today, however, electronic markets are held back by a fundamental design flaw: Speed-driven tactics allow a select few to extract value, thereby severely limiting the range of market offerings and liquidity. Contro is reshaping the way value is exchanged for the age of digital assets—prioritizing sustained intent over speed. This novel approach eliminates exploitative practices and re-enables the safe exchange of any asset to enrich modern people’s lives in the digital age. Pioneering our mission is the first product on the Contro blockchain, in the SocialFi category: Community-driven, sustainable, and scalable prediction markets encouraging constructive, skin-in-the-game debates and offering a fun and educational antidote to divisive traditional social media.
Contro is looking for a Technical Product Designer / Design Engineer to help us build our initial product. The ideal candidate will have an impressive background in designing world-class consumer products, with a focus on creating deeply engaging, user-centric experiences. You will work directly with the founder, CPO and other company leadership to spearhead the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring that our product is not only functional but also delightful.

• Be hands-on, everywhere. As the first designer in our small and upstarting team, you’ll take responsibility and execute hands-on on multiple fronts, combining your top-notch experience and various talents.
• Understand and shape. You’ll think deeply about product and create UX based on your acquired fundamental understanding of both, Contro’s market technology and user needs.
• Prototype and test. You’ll create wireframes, mockups, and component requirements (documented ideally as tests); cleanly implement components and delegate by writing great tickets; constantly conduct usability testing and reiterate based on the user feedback you receive.
• Conduct user research. You’ll be open to perform detailed user research to inform design decisions, ensuring that our solutions are grounded in real user needs.
