Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a full time Production & Design Engineer-in-Training (EIT) that is a highly motivated, self-starter for our company.
We are seeking a talented and innovative Product Designer to join our dynamic team. The Product & Design EIT’s role within the Engineering department focuses on implementing improvements to existing products, design, and development of new products. This role will also support the sale and production of all new and existing products under the guidance and supervision of professional engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGA
  • Strong ability to use 3D CAD, Office Suite and M365. Experience with Teams/SharePoint experience an asset
  • Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical parties both written and verbal
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment
  • A keen attention-to-detail is strongly with a track record of meeting deadlines, solving problems, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability working both in interdisciplinary, group and individual settings
    Experience:
    Experience in manufacturing or other hands-on work is an asset

Schedule:

  • 8am- 5pm
  • Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Focusing on Production Engineering, Product Improvement & New Product Development, and Technical Sales & Customer Support
  • Facilitating the production of new, existing, and engineer-to-order products by authoring documentation and procedures to improve quality, reliability, and efficiency
  • Maintaining engineering drawings and documentation within the configuration management (CM) framework, as well as troubleshooting production and quality issues.
  • Providing both product improvements and new designs from conception through design, prototyping and into production, generating all required documentation to successfully launch, manufacture and support the product
  • Supporting new and existing products with both internal sales and marketing, as well as external specifiers, engineering, and end user audiences
  • Stay up to date on current production practices, relevant standards, and regulations as well as design and development tools.
  • Generating technical bulletins, installation documents, whitepapers, and approval drawings for use with both internal and external users
