Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Product Designer within a commercial environment. A strong portfolio showcasing growth design, web design, and branding projects that have proven to contribute to commercial success.
Skills:
- Proficient in user research, with a demonstrated ability to translate qualitative & quantitative insights into actionable design solutions.
- Solid understanding of (web) design and website performance principles (e.g., bounce rate and funnel analyses etc.,), with the ability to create pixel-perfect visual designs.
- Experience in creating and managing cross-functional brand libraries, templates and working with in-house design systems.
- Basic skills in dashboard design, with a willingness to develop in this area.
- Experience with working with cross-functional development teams, not being afraid to get your hands dirty in actually working with the development team to ensure the designs are implemented correctly
- Tools: Experienced with design tools such as Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Mindset: Positive, proactive, and adaptable, with a passion for creating products that are easy to use, beautiful, and effective.
- Education: A degree in graphic/media design, human-computer interaction, or a related field is preferred (but not required).
- Language: Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
Responsibilities:
As our Product Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing impactful experiences across the entire HR lifecycle within OpenUp, with a dual focus on acquisition (e.g., enhancing our B2B website to attract new clients) and helping existing HR clients with maximizing the value of our platform in their organization (’activation’). You will work closely with our product team responsible for HR, marketing and customer success team to create intuitive, effective, and beautiful tools and experiences that resonate with this user group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Growth Design & Website Design: Lead the design efforts on our B2B website, ensuring it effectively communicates our value proposition and converts visitors into clients. Collaborate with the marketing and product team to create on brand user flows and landing pages that drive engagement (e.g., time on page) and ultimately conversions to demos booked.
- HR Tooling Design: Design and improve tools such as our HR Insights Report, Resource Hub, and community features. These tools will help HR teams make the most of OpenUp’s offerings, fostering higher engagement and activation of users within their organization.
- Brand Library & Templates: Take the lead in creating and maintaining a comprehensive brand library, including templates for flyers, social media posts, slide decks, and other materials. Ensure that marketing and customer success teams have easy access to on-brand, ready-to-use assets.
- User Research: Partner with our product team to conduct user research, gathering insights that will inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience. Regularly engage with HR professionals to understand their needs and challenges.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, developers, and content creators to ensure cohesive and effective product experiences. You’ll be a key player in cross-functional projects, ensuring design consistency and quality across all touchpoints.
