We’re looking for a Product Designer II to help define and create compelling experiences that empower teams to achieve more together. In this role, you will partner with passionate people to shape the direction of meetings and large events.
You will work with other designers, product managers, and engineers to create forward-thinking designs that are scenario driven and meet business goals. At the core of this role, you will identify user-centered design patterns, establish scenarios, place designs into user context and create interactions that align to those requirements.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design
  • OR equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in interaction design, information architecture
  • Ability to articulate your thinking using a variety of mediums from information diagrams, wireframe flows to detailed prototypes.
  • Experience in software design.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Graphic/visual design experience.
  • History of impacting shipping products with your work.
  • Effective communication/presentation skills to tell your design stories to fellow designers, developers, and product management.
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple features.
    Product Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $83,600 - CAD $159,600 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver world-class interaction designs and design systems from initial concept through to shipping
  • Create and manage designs for multiple feature areas.
  • Help solve complex design problems in simple and intuitive ways, blending brand personality, visual, motion, and sound to create delightful experiences.
  • Create and assess design solutions based on user research data and user goals.
  • Produce design visualizations to help everyone understand what the best experience should be: storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision pieces.
  • Work closely and constructively with product management, visual and interaction designers, editors, engineers and user researchers to iterate and deliver flawlessly.
  • Contribute to product planning alongside a cross-functional team.
  • Align with partner teams across Microsoft to achieve experiential consistency and bring unity to our features.
  • Frame problems holistically, set context at the right altitude, and bring alignment across disciplines to move the product forward.
  • Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals.
