Product Developer / Formulation Expert - Natural Cosmetic (all genders)

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Cosmetic Science or a related field, such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, or Pharmaceutical Science
• Good knowledge of raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, and preservatives as well as familiarity with preservative-free cosmetics and natural skincare raw materials is advisable
• Gathered experience as a lab technician in natural skin care and proficiency in formulating/developing cosmetic products and the ability to create them safely and effectively
• Understanding of stability testing and quality control coupled with the ability to perform in-house pre-stability testing
• Creative mindset with a hands-on approach, driven to propose novel product ideas and stay up to date with market trends
• Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, as well as fluency in English; German is a plus
• Membership in professional societies such as the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists is a bonus!

Sunday Natural emerged from a long-standing passion and research in the fields of health, healing, and personal growth. The lack of natural, high-quality products on the market was the original motivation for founding Sunday Natural in 2013. We aim to produce the products we ourselves would love to buy – as natural as possible, absolutely pure, free from any additives, and of the highest quality. Edeneve is a cosmetic & beauty brand led with passionate vision by Jörg Schweikart and is considered a financially independent dtc eCommerce startup committed to creating high-quality cosmetic products that blend natural ingredients with cutting-edge technology.

As the first internal product developer for our natural cosmetic brand Edeneve, you’ll be crucial in formulating safe and effective beauty products that resonate with our discerning clientele.

• Identify and procure raw materials that meet our high standards, conduct thorough research on these ingredients, gather samples, and establish contacts with suppliers
• Mix raw materials to create innovative cosmetic formulations that align with our brand’s vision and quality requirements
• Conduct rigorous testing of prototypes to ensure they meet our stringent quality, efficacy, and safety standards
• Maintain exemplary laboratory practices (GLP) throughout the development process to ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety in our formulations
• Work closely with production teams to responsibly scale up formulations from the laboratory to full-scale production, ensuring consistency and quality
• Obtain and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to drive the creation of cosmetic products for both the German and provide expert technical support
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and successful product development and launch
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in skincare technology and marketing trends to keep our products and strategies ahead of the curve
