Description:

We are now seeking a Product Developer to help us further build the future of food. You will be based in Roeselare, Belgium and report to the Head of R&D, Baking & Sauces. You will be part of a great international R&D team and work with the development of both wraps and sauces.

What you will do

  • Responsible for development and design of recipe and functional properties of new products and concepts within product development projects. Deliver on KPIs for taste, product quality, sustainability, cost and convenience (for consumers and customers).
  • Responsible for continuously improve our existing offer by review ingredients/materials and production processes regarding quality and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure food safety and legal requirements are followed and work towards our sustainability goals for products and packaging.
  • Evaluate and describe sensory properties of products and act as test panel leader. Set up and perform relevant tests in Eye question.
  • Secure correct data from ERP and product data management systems according to R&D responsibility in Item set up Process RACI.
  • Explore trends and new research within food, new technology, ingredients and functional properties to use and implement in our PD-projects.
  • Presentation of concepts, products and technology to support Marketing, Sales and other relevant functions in internal and external training.
  • Continuously perform benchmarking and quality reviews against our main competitors.

What we expect from you

  • 1-3 years of experience in product development roles within FMCG sector, preferably within the area of food.
  • Master’s degree in food technology or similar.
  • The work requires you to be creative but still strategic with the ability to organize and prioritize your own work. Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset is part of your strengths.
  • English at advanced level is required.
