We are searching for a Product Developer to join our growing team in Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast! Our ideal candidate will be creative, have a keen eye for detail, and have a very successful track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and factories.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years’ relevant experience working in product development, or a similar role in a fast-fashion environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong relationships with factories and scouring capabilities; negotiation skills are a must!
  • Offshore garment construction knowledge and supply chain management.
  • You will be able to think on your feet, be creative, and not be afraid to change the plan of attack.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, relationships building skills, and clear customer focus.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, with highly developed negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships; negotiating costs while balancing quality, design, and value.
  • Supporting the development of inclusive ranges (Curve, Tall, Petite, and Modest fits).
  • Collaborating with the Garment Technician on measurement charts, sample measuring and general support.
  • Assisting in the creation of garment design and tech packs.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and resolving issues with suppliers.
  • Working closely with Designers and Buyers to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coordinating the execution of exclusive products with suppliers.
  • Managing production schedules for weekly new styles and special ranges (influencer, seasonal, capsule ranges).
  • Implementing and maintaining a tracking process for all in-house development styles.
  • Organising and attending weekly sample fittings on models; communicating fit comments to vendors.
  • Managing and tracking garment samples, including measuring and communicating fit changes to vendors.
  • Collaborating with the Social Responsibility team to ensure ethical and environmental standards are upheld across the supply base.
