Product Development and Sourcing Coordinator

We are excited to expand our global team by adding a dedicated Product Development and Sourcing Coordinator based in Portugal. In this role, you will take charge of developing consumer goods produced in Portugal, covering a variety of brands and product categories, including apparel, accessories, home decor, and textiles. This position is distinctive, offering involvement in every aspect of the supply chain, from the initial concept through to production, design, marketing, and achieving financial objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough market research to identify new product opportunities and trends.
• Making informed design decisions that successfully integrate aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Sourcing and partnering with top-tier manufacturers in Portugal to deliver high-quality products that meet our brand standards.
• Leading negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
• Overseeing the entire product development process, from initial requests to final delivery, including sample approvals and quality checks.
• Ensuring all products adhere to US trade regulations and compliance requirements.
• Collaborating closely with creative teams to produce impactful marketing materials, including photography, videography, and copywriting.
• Engaging with a broad network of professionals, including entrepreneurs, artisans, designers, quality control specialists, logistics experts, and regulatory advisors, on a daily basis.
• Being based at a fixed location in Portugal to efficiently manage the regular flow of product samples due to the demands of this role.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to communicate in fluent Portuguese and is in possession of a work permit from Portugal. Your application will not be considered if you do not meet this requirement.
• Prefers working independently with minimal supervision.
• Has a great taste in branding and all things visual.
• Is incredibly smart and resourceful.
• Has excellent organizational skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Is fluent in both Portuguese and English.
