Responsibilities:
- Conducts feasibility studies and probes opportunities in self-designed experiments in the frame of new product development as well as product and process optimization projects
- Monitors project relevant trends in emulsion polymerization technology and application technology of emulsions and similar fields
- Responsible for continuous tracking of project relevant IP situation around fields of emulsion process and application of emulsions
- Leads and directs coworkers towards operative excellence and creative problem solving
- Maintain communication to other departments (commercial, application technology, research or development, production) and to external sources (universities, institutions)
Qualifications:
- University degree in polymer chemistry, physical chemistry or organic chemistry (PhD)
- Knowledge of polymer chemistry, polymer physics and polymer analytics
- Knowledge in research project planning
- Desirable knowledge in product development, scale up and manufacturing processes
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good communication skills in German and English, verbal and in writing
