Responsibilities:

  • Conducts feasibility studies and probes opportunities in self-designed experiments in the frame of new product development as well as product and process optimization projects
  • Monitors project relevant trends in emulsion polymerization technology and application technology of emulsions and similar fields
  • Responsible for continuous tracking of project relevant IP situation around fields of emulsion process and application of emulsions
  • Leads and directs coworkers towards operative excellence and creative problem solving
  • Maintain communication to other departments (commercial, application technology, research or development, production) and to external sources (universities, institutions)

Qualifications:

  • University degree in polymer chemistry, physical chemistry or organic chemistry (PhD)
  • Knowledge of polymer chemistry, polymer physics and polymer analytics
  • Knowledge in research project planning
  • Desirable knowledge in product development, scale up and manufacturing processes
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good communication skills in German and English, verbal and in writing
