Product Development Expert

• The Expert role is positioned to perform the Review audit for the Project Maturity assessments within the APD Gate process
• In addition problem solving is at the Core of Expert responsibility
• Targeted in the support of the Projects, Plants and Pre Developments, a Product Development Expert utilizes special skill sets to guide the Team through specific Technical problems
• The Expert has Sign Off responsibility for the DFMEA and specifications as part of the APD Gate process
• In their role they are required to Coach people enabling their skill sets to be cascaded, absorbed and learned, managing a Skills matrix to assess Gap in the organization.
• Maintains guidelines / standards and 8Ds for the relevant area of expertise
• Is part of the Global Expert Network community with Workshops & Forums for knowledge sharing
• Trains and Coaches cross functionally
• Revises and releases the relevant LL and drive back into Product Development
• Provides feedback from Product Development to Advanced Engineering and/or Pre-development
• Identify “WASTE” in daily job and provide idea/solutions to eliminate it and new ideas with a sustainable approach
• Ensure through Maturity assessment audit that product development is conducted and documented

according to Autoneum’s quality system.

• Ensure through Maturity assessment audit the compliance of mandatory and regulatory quality, safety

and environmental standards and with Autoneum sustainability principles and targets

Your qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Experts are trained in problem solving methodologies
• Minimum of 10Yrs Automotive experience within an Acoustic, Thermal management and material engineering environment, experience working for a Manufacturing company, experts are familiar with Manufacturing technology, processes and Tooling. Knowledge of risk analysis assessment methodologies (DFMEA)
• Ability to read and work with engineering documentation (e.g. Customer Requirements book, drawings, patents, test reports)
• Deep knowledge about fundamental characteristics of key materials, processes, design and working principles of tools and gauges
• Ability to conduct trainings to Engineers
• Able to lead, guide and coach teams
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem solving methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, 8D, PDCA, DoE)
• Ability to deliver high quality technical documentation (e.g. trials reports, LL, DGL)
• Knowledge of PC applications such as CAD visualization software, MS-Office
• Command of English (oral and written, other languages are a plus)
