Product Engineer

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 yr. experience with design software and tools like Inventor or SolidWorks
• At least 1 yr. SQL coding or other similar programming language proficiency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Ability to handle high volumes of data and manipulate accurately.
• Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with other functional departments.
• Creative thinking and an innovative drive.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Preferred 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years’ experience in a related role.
• Experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Certification or comparable problem-solving certification.
• Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, review, and scope product specifications from product management and provide feedback.
• Design, prototype, and test new products.
• Define and configure new products into a Bill of Materials (BOM) within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Coordinate with process engineers and other key stakeholders in supply chain, finance, quality, and production for new product deployment.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on products offered by the production facility.
