Product Engineer

REQUIREMENTS

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in: IME, IMC, IEA
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
• 2 years of experience in product engineering, plant support, implementation of engineering changes, reading assembly drawings, electrical diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
• Experience in dimensional validation.
• Proficiency in Windchill software.
• Intermediate knowledge of electrical diagrams (control and power) and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of product engineering and/or mechanical design.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with project management principles.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Provide necessary support related to product engineering in CMX C or D operations, these activities include management of HVAC product BOMs, coordination of assembly test and/or pilot runs, prevention, detection and resolution of product engineering findings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and layout components, ensuring they meet functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness criteria.
• Develop and implement design changes based on various factors, including tolerance issues, manufacturing challenges, and customer needs.
• Lead the design process for new products and processes, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Technical support to the different departments of operations, quality, supply chain and production lines of the plant.
• Analyze and solve problems related to product engineering.
• Verify accuracy/reliability of Bill of Materials (BOM’s).
• Technical analysis and creation of Problem Reports (PR’s).
• Evaluate and propose changes and improvements to product design (ECR’s).
• Coordination of assembly tests and pilot runs.
• Satisfy the needs of our external and internal customers, establishing an effective relationship with the sustaining engineering department from the technical point of view of the product.
