Job Summary:
Join our dynamic FP&A Product team, where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our business lines through key financial analysis and performance monitoring. You’ll help produce projections that drive our operations, projects, and strategic plans. By providing valuable financial insights, guidance, and recommendations, you’ll assist in our long-term strategic planning.
As a Product Finance Analyst, you’ll bring strong financial acumen and work closely with the Senior Manager to deliver important financial information and insights to various audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the successful execution of all FP&A’s operations and deliverables
  • Develop a strong understanding of core financial systems (Workday, Adaptive) and use these systems daily to gather insights for the business
  • Work in a dynamic environment with a focus on being agile to meet the growing and changing needs of stakeholders across the organization
  • Forge strong working relationships across Central 1
  • Develop and maintain a sound understanding of Central 1’s product offerings and business lines and their respective financial levers
  • Assist and support Senior Manager for core FP&A deliverables including but not limited to annual budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and project analysis
  • Produce financial information to provide key financial insights to enable the lines of business and management to make informed decisions
  • Support in the development of key performance financial indicators and analytics for business lines, products, and members
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to enable management to understand the range of potential outcomes of actions
  • Build strategic relationships with key business stakeholders and establish Finance as a valued business partner. Collaborate with stakeholders within the business to gather relevant information and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Communicate results professionally and clearly, highlighting key assumptions and potential risks to drive and support business decisions

What you’ll have:

  • A university degree and a professional accounting designation (CPA) or finance designation (CFA)
  • 5+ years of related progressive experience in Finance
  • Working knowledge of core financial systems (Workday, Adaptive), and understanding of process automation capabilities including experience with financial modelling, analytics, and data visualization methodologies and tools
  • Understanding line of business or support area operating models, with the ability to think strategically to facilitate conversations on business decisions
  • Proven track record as a valued business partner to internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and story telling
  • Ability to interpret data, order and assess its value and then present the findings, clearly and concisely, to relevant stakeholders including executive leadership
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build credibility at all levels within Finance and across Central 1
  • Collaboration skills with a proven track record of driving change through team and trust building
  • Prior experience working with a financial institution is considered an asset

Salary: $96,300
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
