We are a leading embedded payments provider in the UK and Europe and are looking to hire ambitious and value-adding talent. The Product Lead, Cards will play a critical role in our scaling product team, with the opportunity to lead a number of exciting initiatives as we build out our card issuing capability.

Our regulatory permissions and governance structure underpin our business. We are regulated as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.
Our founding team has a wealth of experience in the payments industry and growing successful businesses. Modulr is backed by the venture arms of payments giants PayPal and FIS, as well as growth investors Blenheim Chalcot, General Atlantic, Frog Capital and Highland Europe.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Product Lead, Cards will be accountable for the development, delivery and performance of our card issuing portfolio.
The Product team is a core part of Modulr and works cross-functionally with all teams across the business. This role will report into the Product Director, Payments and will lead a small team of product owners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a small team of product owners to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our card issuing portfolio.
- Develop a deep understanding of our target markets and customers and competitor landscape.
- Effectively use data to measure product performance, inform prioritisation and drive decision-making.
- Working closely with agile squads in our engineering team, accountable for the definition and delivery of your roadmap:
- Elicit comprehensive business requirements and execute technical designs and specifications that address these requirements.
- Define high-quality epic and user story definitions with clear acceptance criteria.
- Ensure scalable ways of working with our engineering function to prioritise requirements and deliver at pace each sprint.
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of products, working cross-functionally to understand and manage all implications on teams across the business ahead of go-live.
- Ensure internal documentation and functional product collateral is created and maintained.
- Develop a clear understanding of the costs of your products and input into pricing strategies.
- Establish and develop strategic relationships with card schemes and banking partners.
- Participate in external forums, events and thought leadership, becoming the Modulr SME for our card products.
