The Alternatives Product Manager will be a primary contributor to the overall success and growth of BBH’s rapidly expanding alternative fund servicing business. The individual in this role will be responsible for a wide range of business activities related to the custody, accounting and administration services provided by BBH to premier global asset managers actively traded alternative funds. The Product Manager will reside within the alternative fund product group.
Direct Responsibilities:
- Shape and manage BBH’s expanding offering to alternative asset clients across the liquidity spectrum including real asset, private equity, debt and loan and liquid funds. Responsibility for product management, internal and external support, and business planning activities.
- Assist in designing and implementing a global plan for the firm’s digital client experience.
- Provide technical sales support to RM and sales resources in all jurisdictions.
- Assess/remediate product/service gaps, overlaps and deficiencies.
- Input to and monitor the global alternatives technology investment program.
- Understand alternative fund regulatory changes; organize, prioritize and execute BBH responses.
- Act as a source of knowledge and insight on industry initiatives and plan for related product enhancements.
- Develop and share market intelligence to identify potential product enhancements and new commercial opportunities.
- Maintain, initiate, and manage JIRA story boards for new and future development items.
- Act as a point of contact for the development team to guide current sprint builds.
- Maintain and improve product team operating procedures and materials.
- Work internally with operations, finance, risk, legal and other BBH functional areas on the planning and execution of a strategic product development roadmap.
- Contribute to the refinement and ongoing development of BBH’s long term strategy and business plan for servicing alternative funds.
- Analyze, improve, and maintain BBH Alternatives Infuse offering (Alts Hub and other).
- Support internal client service groups with Alts Hub related setup and research items.
- Actively manage size, scope, detail and priority of development items vs. resource capacity and timelines.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years financial services industry experience
- 5+ years of experience operating Private Funds and investments
- Analytical & strategic mindset

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; MBA a plus
Qualifications - Soft Skills:

Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of institutional alternative asset management industry including a thorough understanding of the fund operation and finance functions commonly outsourced to custodian/administrators.
- Familiarity with the processes and systems commonly used for fund accounting, financial reporting, shareholder record keeping and performance measurement.
- Knowledge of enterprise-wide data strategies across financial services with particular focus on the alternatives sector.
