Job Description
We are looking for an Ad Tech and Data-driven Product Manager to shape and manage SMG’s advertising technology stack. In this role, you will drive innovation in ad tech, optimize our data strategies, and support the development of new ad formats. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless ad operations and data-driven improvements across SMG publishers. We welcome candidates who are passionate about Ad technology and embrace collaboration in a Data-driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed studies in engineering, digital marketing, data science, or a related field
- Several years of experience in digital advertising, preferably on the publisher side
- Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of Ad technologies and digital marketing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on value addition
- Demonstrates a high level of maturity and confidence in decision-making
- Exceptional analytical skills with a structured and precise approach to tasks
- Proficiency in JavaScript (JS), HTML, Python, and SQL
- Experience with Xandr, Google Ad Manager (GAM), Gravite
- Fluent in English, German highly welcome
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with publisher development teams to develop and maintain the advertising technology stack
- Monitor market trends and identify future-proof ad technologies
- Provide internal technical first-level support to relevant teams
- Develop and test new ad formats to enhance performance
- Manage API operations, including bulk edits and uploads
- Enhance and optimize the advertising data strategy for improved performance and insights
- Oversee projects and integrations related to the advertising data management platform
- Support internal stakeholders with all ad-related queries and issues
- Collaborate with Campaigning / Performance Marketing managers
- Partner with site IT and development teams for both app and web platforms
- Liaise with external partners, such as SSPs, data vendors, and other ad technology providers
