We’re looking to engage a Product Lead who will be responsible for the management, development, and sales performance within an assigned area. Focus is to maximize business opportunities through active sales and servicing of existing and new clients, both wholesale and end user, whilst achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company direction and values. This position is critical to help establish the required support structure behind the WEED-IT technology and other products as they emerge into the market. This role will work be responsible for setting up a structure to provide outstanding customer service, including leading and developing team necessary in full fill country partnerships, distribution and after sales support.
What will you be doing?
Define set of objectives to integrate and deliver against Key Account plans, Campaign plans, and Regional Business plans, with a focus on generating demand for products.
Setting up a sustainable and successful business, through overseeing the development of a suitably trained distribution network
Partnering with the General Manager to implement and drive an initial 3 year strategic plan
Working closely with the General Manager to develop aligned strategies around our path to market that are focused on building the Croplands brand, corporate positioning, and market awareness.
Conducting analysis of new partnership opportunities that will deliver on our growth strategy.
Partnering with key industry leaders to build awareness for Croplands Products.
Maintaining a strong focus on demonstrating the technology at various trade shows and individually as opportunities arise
Play an active role in building strong internal relationships with the Canadian and North American teams to leverage their established market position, experience, and partnerships.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Croplands General Manager
What do you bring?
You bring experience within the agricultural industry related to the use of spraying equipment &/or farm machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural customers and agricultural market dynamics especially in rural communities. You’ll need experience leading and developing a team along with being highly analytical in approach with the ability to view differing scenario’s equally and without bias. Most importantly, you have highly developed business acumen with strong analytical ability, good judgment, capacity to think strategically and multi-dimensionally and can travel extensively and regularly throughout Canada, particularly in Western Canada
