REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications in Product Management or Fintech are a bonus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Digital Product Manager within the fintech, payments, or SaaS industries. Experience with POS software and payment systems is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian payments landscape, including contactless payments, digital wallets, and the eCommerce environment. Familiarity with Australian financial regulations and compliance (e.g., APRA, ASIC) is highly valued.
  • Proven experience managing the full product lifecycle — from product research, competitor analysis, and requirements development to market launch and iteration.
  • High effectiveness in working with diverse teams, including engineering, design, business development, and operations. Ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable product insights and strategies. A deep understanding of how to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and articulate complex product requirements clearly.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, agile, and growth-focused environments, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Bonus points if you have hands-on experience building POS systems or SaaS products from the ground up, particularly in the payments or fintech space.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (written and spoken) is mandatory as this role will need to liaise with chinese speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of KPay’s payment product strategy, including both online and offline solutions. Build and manage the product roadmap based on market trends, user needs, and insights from customer research specific to the Australian fintech and payments market.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Australian customer needs, pain points, and preferences. Continuously analyse industry trends, technology innovations, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities. Prioritise initiatives that align with market demand and KPay’s business goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including product discovery, business requirement gathering, prioritisation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and product releases. Ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and achieve product-market fit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the go-to-market plan. Work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and customer support to ensure product success post-launch and throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across engineering, design, marketing, and operations. Drive alignment on product requirements, workflows, and project deliverables. Influence stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Work closely with product and technology teams based in China, ensuring that business requirements, timelines, and design expectations are clearly communicated and met.
