WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

This role is responsible for managing Licensed Sports from new development through pre-production based on customer’s expectations, requirements and requests. The salary for this position is $85,000 per year.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 year experience in Product Development, with some Apparel merchandising preferred.
  • Experience working with children’s apparel. Licensed Sports a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiar with technical textile manufacturing (embroidery/applique, screen prints, textile fabric printing).
  • Knowledge of garment construction and fabrics.
  • Strong color/design sense – must be able to approve strike offs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Design programs.
  • Must be able to stay on a time and action calendar as well as meet tight deadlines.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational, attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Strong Business acumen with creative insights.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Adheres to the timeline development from opportunity inception through production approval stage for all License Sports.
  • Manages development decisions in collaboration with Design and Sourcing.
  • Work with Design/Merchandising team ensuring art and details are accurate to License Style Guide maintaining both design intent and production efficiency.
  • Daily communication with factories, suppliers and cross functional teams to resolve issues affecting deliveries.
  • Work with License Contacts to set standard for production approval.
  • Manages process for new development of fabrics and trims for Licensed Sports. Closely works with Product Coordinator to maintain related fabric, trim and accessory library.
  • Reviews and critiques all license product to ensure overall product meets design standards while maintaining development and production timeline.
  • Manages the critique and approval of all lab dips, print and embroidery strike-off approvals, samples and any other design development materials.
  • Manages submittals from Concept to Pre-Production for License Approval Systems.
  • Ensures all hanging/packaged garments are visually and technically accurate.
  • Addresses potential pricing and safety concerns.
