About The Role
Product Manager is a hybrid role combining the responsibilities of a Project Manager and Product Owner. The Product Manager oversees a portfolio of client projects, managing the entire lifecycle of e-commerce solutions from vision and planning to execution and go-live. Reporting to the Head of Product, this role combines product ownership, project management, and strategic client partnership. The Product Manager drives product success by translating client needs into effective solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with clients to define business objectives, vision, and product roadmap, translating these into a clear, managed product backlog and Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Work closely with development, design, data, and UX teams to validate the feasibility of proposed solutions, ensuring alignment across disciplines. Act as the central point of contact for client and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment.
  • Prioritize backlog items to maximize value and achieve project objectives, acting as a custodian of customer value.
  • Prepare detailed briefs, user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment and clarity across cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the product lifecycle, from initial discovery and planning to development, quality control, and go-live.
  • Lead sprint planning, execution, and review focusing on removing blockers, managing resource updates, and tracking progress using metrics like project tracking sheets and team velocity.
  • Maintain project governance documentation, track schedules, assess risks and dependencies, and coordinate with teams for efficient workflow.
  • Perform quality control, including usability testing, to ensure high product performance standards. Maintain and update documentation for each project, including technical specifications, and client-facing resources, to support the clarity and alignment of deliverables.
  • Oversee project reporting and budget adherence, reviewing work logs against estimates and highlighting potential budget overages.
  • Manage all client communications related to projects, including weekly calls.
  • Facilitates internal team ceremonies, such as planning sessions, and daily stand-ups, while driving continuous process improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Very strong written and spoken communication skills, both in French and English.
  • A proven track record of impact in product management roles.
  • A strong commitment to solving complex problems.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the craft of product management.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying product-related matters, including any directional changes.
  • Display resourcefulness and the ability to accomplish more with limited resources.
  • Experience proactively taking charge in resolving issues.
  • eCommerce experience
  • Shopify and Shopify Plus experience
  • Experience with eCommerce integrations i.e., with ERP, OMS, WMS, CRM systems
  • Ability to work on numerous different assignments at one time with demonstrated follow-through, attention to detail and commitment to customer service
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Previous experience as a Business Analysis or relevant Product Owner experience
