Description:

Prime Purpose of Role
To support the Product team in maintaining and developing the firm’s UK and Dublin domiciled fund range to ensure it remains fit for purpose to meet client needs and can deliver on the overall strategy of the business. The role will encompass the full range of product activity including product development, management and governance.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the product team in managing and delivering the product roadmap including:
  • The launch of new sub-funds to support the business strategy.
  • Launching and activating new share classes where client demand is identified.
  • Carrying out material changes to existing funds to address evolving client and business needs including repositioning funds, mergers and fund closures.
  • Updating the fund range and disclosures to meet new regulatory requirements.
  • Inputting into the prioritization of the pipeline of activity.
  • Engaging and contributing as required to key strategic initiatives in relation to the firm’s product offering.
  • This may involve engaging with internal stakeholders across multiple time zones (EU, US, Australia).
  • Ongoing maintenance of the firm’s existing product range to ensure alignment with product strategy including:
  • Maintaining fund and share class registration to support the distribution strategy.
  • Monitoring share class viability and closing classes which are no longer aligned to client and business needs.
  • Ensuring that all product documentation remains up to date, consistent and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Overseeing procedures to deliver accurate and timely reporting on the product range and product activity.
  • To support the product review process in relation to Consumer Duty, Assessment of Value and other reviews specified in the firm’s product governance policy. This will include collating and analysing product data and writing reports for governance forums and committees.
  • To support the ongoing review of product processes to ensure they remain up-to-date, effective and aligned to the current business model, and to actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • To assist in responding to queries from the business in relation to the product range, and to work with all areas of the business to ensure issues and incidents related to the firm’s products are managed and resolved in a timely manner.

Key Skills

  • Excellent understanding of fund structures and their legal and regulatory requirements across major developed markets (for example, the UK EU, US etc.).
  • Experience in drafting and amending fund documentation is liaison with legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in engagement with peer and industry networks to identify relevant regulatory developments and emerging best practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Strong relationship management, decision-making and organisational skills and a high awareness of the varying products and their regulatory requirements.
  • Is time and budget sensitive, operates within constraints set by the firm and external environment.
  • Is adept at coordinating and managing internal stakeholders at both firm and group level.
  • Is adept at managing outsourced service providers and holding them to account in respect of any service agreements.
  • Willingness to get involved in all aspects of a product implementation.
  • Attention to detail.
