About us:
Reaxys is seeking for a highly motivated and skilled Product Manager II to join our team in secondment, and looking for an opportunity to work on the development of Reaxys’ core capabilities within drug discovery and A&G.
The candidate will have the opportunity to own one or more product features and lead project execution. They will play a critical role in driving the development and enhancement of Reaxys, ensuring that customer pain points are addresses and their needs effectively met. We seek a candidate who will leverage market research and proactively engage with industry segments, new customer groups and internal colleagues to implement findings into the product development process. Specifically, the Product Manager will be responsible for:
About the Role:
Own and drive the success of one or more product features within Reaxys’ core capabilities, taking complete ownership of their development and execution. Represent your feature(s) within the cross-functional team, proposing new ideas that address customer pain points or needs based on your deep and firsthand understanding of the customer. Collaborate with other members of the Reaxys product team to prioritize new features and enhancements, ensuring they align with the product vision and customer needs. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Reaxys engineering/technology, design and other Elsevier functions, to ensure successful execution and delivery of product features. Develop and execute prioritized product development plans, ensuring they align with the overall product strategy and roadmap. Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop go-to-market plans, including sales enablement, product launches, product demos, webinars and case studies. Work with other Reaxys product managers in a matrix way to define, implement and advocate shared product management processes, methods, and tools. Represent the product domain(s) to peers, managers, executives across the company, and external audiences, acting as a central point for customer understanding. Proactively gather customer feedback and insights to continuously improve the product, ensuring it remains competitive in the market.
Requirements:
- Proven experience, ideally within a technology-driven organization in the area of life sciences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute projects effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong customer focus and understanding of customer needs and market trends.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience on working with pharmaceutical and chemical companies as well as academia
- Master’s degree in chemistry or related sciences
Good to have:
- Product management certification (Agile, Scrum, SVPG)
- Experience in working in pharmaceutical/chemical companies in the field of discovery and development and/or in academic research
- PhD in Chemistry
