Description:

  • We are looking for 5+ years working within the IT channel in either a Vendor, Distribution, or Reseller role.
  • Previous experience working in a Product Management function or similar role.

Responsibilities:

The Product Manager will be responsible for owning and maximising the development, management, execution, and profitability of the portfolio product strategy. Utilising your deep understanding of the IT channel, you will be the central point of knowledge to ensure the wider business is successful in taking your portfolio to market.

Key duties and responsibilities are:

  • Develop, curate, and execute a successful product strategy in line with the overriding portfolio strategy.
  • Through the ownership of the end-to-end Product lifecycle, you will take accountability for proactive management from the initial scoping of product roadmaps, to launch activity, effective positioning, and EOL strategy.
  • Collaborate with the wider business functions in helping support customer opportunity through effective pricing management models, vendor engagement, and supply chain negotiation.
  • Provide intelligence back into the business around market competition, trends, technologies, and product positioning.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive products to identify and manage opportunities and threats.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain long lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships with key external stakeholders to create competitive advantage.
  • Be diligent and proactive in assessing relevant data sets to help support objective decision-making.
  • Engage our vendor network to support tactical opportunities to impact profitability within the business and ensure continual monitoring and improvement of pricing fluctuations.
  • Develop demand forecasts to inform supply chain strategies.
  • Working in collaboration with our Marketing function, you will be accountable for MDF planning and providing campaign content suitable and relevant for your target market.
  • Through collaborative engagement, you will be accountable for ensuring the correct level of vendor activity and engagement is managed across the various internal functions.
  • Working with our Product Operations and Marketing functions, you will provide a clear code strategy on your portfolio into the wider business and ensure proactive management to maximise end user opportunities and web content relevance.
