MINIMUM SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management
  • Critical thinker and using data and reason to be an effective problem solver
  • A proven track record of success in working with designers, engineers, and various stakeholders to build great products and features
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with building products and features from scratch and and using metrics to drive product development

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As our first Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Talkatoo. You’ll represent the product across the company, collaborating closely with our development team, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and features that veterinarians love to use.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the product roadmap, working closely with the leadership team to prioritize features and set clear product goals
  • Gather and write detailed feature requirements, ensuring developers have clear, actionable specifications
  • Manage trade-offs between competing priorities (product, feature improvement, and bug)
  • Work with the engineering manager to execute on delivery of Epics and collaborate with developers and QA to build good product (e.g., aligned with resolving user pain points and reducing releases with bug-free)
  • Improve on processes with focus on faster, more stable, feature releases
  • Own, track, and report on product performance metrics to ensure the product is achieving its goal
  • Gather and manage user feedback from multiple channels to inform future product roadmap prioritization
  • Build product strategy by understanding industry trends, inputs from Sales, CS, and customers
  • Translate product strategy into product roadmap
  • Own and update the project roadmap based product backlog, user stories and epics, daily stand-ups
