Description:

As a Product Manager at Lumio by SMART, you will play a pivotal role in guiding product development for a dedicated agile scrum team based in Spain. Collaborating closely with the broader Product Management team located in Seattle and Calgary, you will manage well-defined product concepts, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and deliver significant value to our customers. This is a limited-term, 12-month position that requires strong cross-functional collaboration, customer-centric decision-making, and an ability to work effectively across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Manage well-defined product features through their entire lifecycle, from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the scrum team in Spain, as well as stakeholders across Seattle and Calgary, to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions, continuously refining product features based on user insights.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on product status, gather feedback, and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Roadmap Planning: Lead roadmap planning for your product area, ensuring that product initiatives are prioritized and executed effectively.
  • Performance Tracking: Track and report on product performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to iterate and improve product offerings.
  • Agile Practices: Embrace agile methodologies, working closely with the scrum team to drive efficient and effective product development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in product management, with a strong understanding of agile product development processes.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with teams across different time zones and locations.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to integrate customer feedback into product development and prioritize features based on user needs.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions that drive product success.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to influence stakeholders and articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Location: Based in Eastern Canada with the ability to work remotely and occasionally travel if required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the EdTech industry or a related field.
  • Familiarity with working in distributed teams and managing remote collaborations.
  • Experience working with international teams and understanding of different cultural work environments.

Additional Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months
  • Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required to meet with teams in Spain, Seattle, and Calgary.
