Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

MPS is seeking a self-motivated individual with a winning attitude to drive business and marketing of power management products in High Performance Automotive Compute Power. This individual works closely with sales teams, customers, and internal product definers, systems & apps engineers to not only drive business and marketing activities, but also to influence the direction of product development strategy and execution. It is important to have a good understanding of the market segments, product offering, and customers’ needs to tailor product promotion and win business. This individual will work with Field & Factory Application Engineers, Sales, Product marketing team members, and Marketing Communications to ensure the timely and successful launch of new products into the marketplace. Strategic involvement includes management alignment with customers, product definition, market & competitive analysis, strategic business and customer opportunity management with revenue tracking and forecasting as well as key product design-in activities. Tactical responsibility includes new product releases, advertising, and marketing collateral. The product marketing manager role will be involved in all important business inquiries and business development for responsible products. Travel up to 25% of the time might be necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in Sales/Marketing/Applications of Power Management ICs
  • Experience with Power Management ICs for automotive SoC power is a plus
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Marketing / Applications within an Analog IC Company
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/influence and build collaboration with cross-functional team members
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • BSEE or equivalent required

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify new customers, and new customer projects. Create and nurture customer relationships. Track project status & manage design-in activities closely to convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Product Marketing: Promote & position the products by articulating product value proposition to internal sales teams, and to customers. Create appropriate marketing material to help sales to win.
  • Competitive Analysis: Maintain a good understanding of competitive landscape from technology, products, and business perspectives.
  • New Product Ideas: Understand customer’s current & future needs to influence product roadmap to add new products and product families.
  • New Product Launch: Help develop go-to-market strategy for new products. Create marketing collaterals to bring awareness for the new products internally and externally.
  • Marketing Communications: Partner with Marketing Communications team to run marketing campaigns in digital and print media. Host webinars, write articles and participate in conferences as necessary to create brand awareness.
