We are seeking a motivated Product Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the positioning and messaging of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to ensure that our marketing initiatives resonate with our target audience and drive product adoption. This position requires a deep understanding of both our products and the market landscape, along with the ability to translate technical features into compelling customer benefits. The Specialist will work with internal stakeholders related to project activities and must be prepared to take full responsibility for the success of all assigned projects and tasks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of B2B software products and the technology landscape
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and software (e.g., CRM, email marketing platforms, analytics tools)
  • Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills
  • Fast learner, with ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional project / task manager with attention to details
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required, including Word & Excel
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately, while demonstrating initiative, patience, and courtesy
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the software industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal or meeting table for a long period of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers or adoptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to use telephone frequently for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality marketing collateral, including product datasheets, case studies, white papers, and blog posts, that effectively communicate product benefits and features.
  • Creates, edits, and distributes product release announcements
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of collateral, including online information, data sheets, etc. This is typically performed as part of product launch tasks but can also be as part of a unique marketing campaign or project.
  • Executes product launch tasks. May own a specific launch or be a team member for larger product launches.
  • Assists with trade-show preparation as needed including updating presentations, completing preparation tasks, and attending shows.
  • Researches market and industry to understand competition, product environment and related market trends.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; training on Procede products, visiting customers, attending trade shows, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and/or participation in professional organizations.
  • Develops an understanding of organization’s major initiatives, programs, services, events and products and participate in company training sessions.
  • Performs other administrative and support duties related to the daily operations of the department.
  • Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences.
  • Collaborate with product management and sales teams to create and execute effective go-to-market strategies for product launches.
  • Collaborates with the customer success team to gather feedback and insights from customers to inform product enhancements and marketing strategies.
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Work closely with design, development, and other marketing team members to ensure consistent brand messaging and cohesive marketing strategies.
