What will you do
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Product Owner (m/f/d) capable of managing the projects and products of our platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product development for our battery energy storage solutions. As a key player in our organization, you will form a strong tandem with our Product Manager to define and deliver innovative products that meet market needs and drive the company’s growth.
Tasks
WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, energy systems, power electronics, or a related technical field.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Product Owner or in managing complex technology projects, particularly in hardware development, firmware, and embedded systems.
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of hardware development cycles, including PCB design and power electronics, and experience in firmware development for battery control systems or related applications.
- System-Level Knowledge: Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS), power electronics, and the integration of battery control systems (BCS) into larger energy management solutions.
- Hands-On Collaboration: Experience working closely with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware and hardware, from development to deployment.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. English is required; German is a plus.
- Decision-making Skills: Confident in making tough decisions, including prioritizing product goals, managing trade-offs, and knowing when to say ’No’ to stay focused on key objectives.

- Product Backlog & Alignment: Define and manage a transparent product backlog, ensuring all stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Engineering) understand the priorities.

- Sprint Goals: Define sprint goals that deliver value to customers and align with the company’s strategy for sustainable energy solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with other Product Owners and teams to manage dependencies for tech platform development.
- Focus on Results: Protect the team’s focus by saying “no” when necessary, ensuring timely product delivery without compromising quality.
- Release Planning: Collaborate with the Release Manager and Director of Engineering to plan product releases that provide tangible value to customers.
- (Optional) System Engineering: Keep the System Architecture of the different aspects of the inverter aligned.
