As part of Dennemeyer Software Solutions, you will join our Software Development team as a Product Owner/Business Analyst to manage agile projects within a Scrum framework. You will be working closely with the Technical Team Leader/Scrum Master (development side) and with the Product Managers (product side). You will be part of a PO/BA team and will integrate into a team of talented developers, architects, QA testers and support staff.
You already have a solid experience as a Business Analyst bridging the gap between business requirements and a development team. You have experience with Scrum delivering incrementally features and items. You are passionate about software development; you already know or are willing to learn the rich world of Intellectual Property. You would like to participate in large scale software development activities creating an impact for thousands of active users around the globe.

Your tasks

  • Specify requirements with the product owner, subject matter experts and users in the Scrum team.
  • Ask the right questions to the right people, offer alternatives in case of professional or technical obstacles and proactively demand clear decisions.
  • Make sure that implemented features are bringing value for the business.
  • Visualize processes and requirements.
  • Using different BA methods as appropriate, you will analyze complex business needs and translate the product’s roadmap into actionable artefacts, challenge them, and model them (Use cases, Features, User Stories) for the development team.
  • Analyze and document new features. Write user stories with Acceptance criteria. Review technical user stories and define DoD with the Technical Leader
  • Break down epics and features into user stories, model workflows and data, define business rules and address non-functional requirements.
  • Write functional Documentation, communicate, and verify these requirements with an audience of technical and business contacts (products demo).
  • Explain and discuss requirements with the development team
  • Verify that the deliverables meet the requirements

Your profile

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or comparable in computer science or related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of job-relevant experience (e.g. as requirements engineer (Business Analyst), product owner, lean product manager) in an agile environment.
  • Analytical thinking and solution oriented.
  • Very good moderation and presentation skills.
  • Self-organized and creative team player with excellent communication and listening skills and willingness to learn. Ability to defend your ideas with conviction.
  • Ability to manage pressure and reacting fast in case of urgency.
  • Being able to discuss with business users in their language and translate the requirements to IT persons.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum, refinements, plannings, reviews, retrospectives, epics, features, tasks, defects, and estimates.
  • Ideally have basic knowledge in hands-on software development.
  • Have an eye for details and at the same time keep an eye on the big picture.
  • Interest and up-to-date regarding technical innovations.
  • Familiarity with the Intellectual Property industry is considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
