Description:

As we continually evolve our Data Science & Analytics capability across the organisation, delivering data-driven solutions to all areas of our business, we are looking for a Product Owner to join our Flight Operations team, reporting to the Flight Ops Manager - Data.
In this role, you will work primarily with Cabin Services and Flight Ops, while also collaborating cross-functionally with Technology, Data Science & Analytics, and Delivery & Change teams. A key focus will be driving data projects within the crew space, ensuring the development and delivery of innovative data-driven products that align with business objectives.
As the operational subject matter expert, you will provide guidance, answer technical questions, and ensure that Data Science and Analytics initiatives meet both the technical and functional needs of the organisation.
You will navigate the full product lifecycle, from ideation through to deployment, continuously engaging with stakeholders to refine and prioritise features that maximise business value. You’ll be responsible for managing project meetings, sprints, and demos within an Agile framework, delivering projects within your workstream, and ensuring that data quality is maintained and enhanced. You’ll work proactively with stakeholders to identify opportunities for Data Science solutions and ensure they are integrated smoothly into operations, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiencies and enhance the operating model.
Collaboration with Data and Technology teams will be essential to ensure alignment with business priorities and to motivate and support delivery teams in achieving the desired outcomes. You will also track and deliver financial and non-financial benefits, maintain roadmaps, and remove blockages with the help of the Flight Ops Manager - Data. Additionally, you’ll manage relationships with third-party suppliers, and articulate trade-offs, risks, and dependencies, ensuring that all business needs are met.

Responsibilities:

Airline operations experience is essential with the ability to work cross functionally with IT and Operations translating between the areas. An understanding of the Cabin Services and Flight Operations functions in an airline will give you the base to carry out this role. A basic understanding of UX/UI and design principles will also be key to bridging the gap between the business vision and technical delivery.
You will have a challenger attitude, always questioning the ‘why’ and ‘how’ to drive better outcomes, while confidently engaging with and challenging senior management. You will be a proactive change agent, able to cut through complexity, reverse delays, and create positive momentum. Passionate about data, you see opportunities for data-driven solutions to enhance business performance. With a strong focus on delivery, you’re hands-on and driven, navigating the full product lifecycle to ensure success. Comfortable working in dynamic and ambiguous environments, you can confidently make trade-offs between priorities and thrive in a constantly evolving landscape.
