The Product Owner for the Product Growth team is responsible for executing all software development life cycle activities for DaVita’s digital patient platforms. Working on the Product Growth team, this person is responsible for increasing adoption and retention for all DaVita patient applications by identifying and building enhancements to current and new features through an evaluation of feedback from various sources, including go-to-market, support, research, design and other product teams. The team is measured against their ability to maximize growth while increasing user satisfaction.
The Digital Product Owner will report to the Product Manager, Growth. They will understand business and user problems, define product requirements to drive agile development processes, and participate in go-to-market strategy to ensure product success. They will work in a highly collaborative and complex environment with teams across DaVita.
Candidates must lead out with curiosity and demonstrate hunger to solve user problems while achieving business goals. This person possesses skills in leadership, management, critical thinking, attention to detail, presenting, and written/verbal communication. Candidates will come with experience and industry knowledge in building digital products that solve a problem for the user.
Product Discovery
- With Product Manager, sets vision of future state through the lens of potential growth through existing features
- Effectively prioritizes and maintains the roadmap and backlog for assigned products in close collaboration with other product lanes, go-to-market, research, design and IT/engineers
Product Planning
- Independently works with research, design, go-to-market, users, agile scrum team, and business leaders to create and document feature requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Works with designers to ensure a frictionless user experience while supporting overall program design
- Partners with IT delivery teams on a near daily basis by providing clarifications necessary to assist with user story estimates, sequencing of new features and moving the product design forward to development
Product Launch
- Partners with go-to-market team to create product promotional, educational and change management materials/approach
- As needed, is available to support releases outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Supports the creation of product documentation which may include feature requirements, release notes, and user guides in addition to marketing materials
Product Review
- Actively monitors progress toward original hypothesis of growth in adoption and/or retention with user analytics and feedback
- Documents and relates learnings to continue, correct, or enhance our work toward established goals or hypothesis
Professional Growth
- Maintains a knowledge of product management best practices, current trends, and new technology to elevate and continually enhance the product built for our patients

Required Preferred
3+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar experience on application development projects

Strong experience in developing, launching, and managing software products

Experience in writing user requirements, use cases, functional specifications, test plans etc.
