Description:
As we continually evolve our Data Science & Analytics capability across the organisation, delivering data-driven solutions to all areas of our business, we are looking for a Product Owner to join our Flight Operations team, reporting to the Flight Ops Manager - Data.
This role will focus on managing and delivering data-driven products and solutions for easyJet’s Operations through the Griffin programme, which leverages data analytics to enhance efficiency, sustainability, safety, risk management, employee and customer experience, and cost avoidance.
As the Product Owner, you will work closely with business stakeholders from Engineering & Maintenance (E&M), collaborating with Operations, Technology, Data Science & Analytics, and Delivery & Change teams. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the full lifecycle of data science and analytics initiatives, ensuring that products meet the technical and functional needs of the organisation. You’ll be responsible for attending Agile meetings, delivering on assigned projects, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvements within Operations.
This role requires managing data quality, ensuring products are accessible and reusable, and working closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to maintain alignment with business priorities. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders to track both financial and non-financial benefits, updating delivery roadmaps, and resolving potential issues to keep projects on track. Your role will be key in bridging the gap between Griffin and Flight Operations, ensuring data solutions drive real business value.
Responsibilities:
Airline operations experience is essential with the ability to work cross functionally with IT and Operations translating between the areas. An understanding of the Engineering function in an airline will give you the base to carry out this role. You will have a challenger mindset, always questioning the “why” and “how” to drive better outcomes while confidently engaging with senior management. You will thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments, cutting through delays and creating momentum by embracing new approaches and viewing change as an opportunity.
You are passionate about the potential of data products and solutions to drive business value and have a strong delivery focus, diving into projects to ensure success. Self-motivated and results-driven, you excel at managing the full product development cycle. Additionally, you are comfortable navigating ambiguity, confidently making trade-offs and prioritising competing demands.
