Description:
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and a working understanding of the aviation industry.
- Able to communicate effectively at many levels, translating technical concepts into jargon free descriptions for non-technical stakeholders and ensuring development teams have sufficient understanding of the technical architectures and importantly the “Why”.
- Working understanding of the team’s technical work, including software development, UI/UX design principles, etc.
- Experience in ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) Tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working within an agile team delivering SaaS software.

Data, Applications, and Platforms Engineering (DAPS Engineering) is looking for a Product Owner with a passion for engineering to join our friendly team as we rapidly expand our customer base. You will work as part of an established software development team using your skills and experience in Agile software development to successfully deliver features from our roadmap.
We are a globally distributed company that values our people. This is a hybrid position at our Winnersh site, offering a flexible work environment, as well as a supportive and enjoyable team to work with!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will act as the bridge between end customers, business stakeholders and the technology teams.
- You will help the team translate the VSL’s (Value Stream Leader) product vision and roadmap into deliverables.
- You will work with a range of stakeholders, own the backlog, and prioritize the work.
- You will refine features supporting the “Enough Design Up Front” (EDUF) principle of Agile through working closely with architects and VSL (Value Stream Leader or product manager).
- You will break larger features into smaller “value drops”.
- You will create the user stories and define the acceptance criteria working with the development team.
- You will work directly with end customers to understand desired product outcomes via a range of techniques such as workshops, interviews, etc.
- You will engage in all Agile ceremonies and support the Scrum Master to ensure team commitments are met.
- You will own and work with the team to present the sprint review to stakeholders every sprint and Program Increment (PI).
