JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Run My Business (RMB) Journey has embarked on an exciting series of initiatives to design and build our new online platform for TD business customers - TD Business Central (TDBC). Reporting to the Senior Manager (Product Group Owner), the Product Owner will be a member of the Optimize my Cash Flow team which focuses on Cash Management Services (CMS) that help business customers from local to multinational, move money, simply, securely and seamlessly allowing them to maximize cash flow and focus on growing their businesses. The Product Owner’s accountabilities will focus specifically on policies, procedures and regulatory reporting as it applies to money movement products. In addition, the Product Owner will represent Business Banking as the segment lead in an enterprise-wide program designed to enhance quality, completeness and accuracy of regulatory reporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong knowledge of Business Banking processes, products/ services and customers, ideally with and previous experience cash management services experience.
  • Advanced business understanding and knowledge of risk and control functions.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance; take ownership of deliverables; navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with agile methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology stakeholders in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Successful candidate will need to meet Business Banking return to office standards.
  • Undergraduate degree or product owner / management certificate and / or 5+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a champion, representing Business Banking on a large, complex regulatory reporting (anti-money laundering) project.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of our portfolio of Cash Management Services policies that comply with bank regulations and TD’s risk appetite.
  • Develop and document a comprehensive inventory of procedures and controls with clearly defined owners and roles and accountabilities to effectively support product policies.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and reporting aligned to our policies.
  • Support standardization and consistency across policies, procedures, controls and reporting; reducing manual processes where possible.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with various partners/stakeholders, including Commercial Customer Service Centre, Business Banking Operations, Business Banking Governance and Control, Cash Management Services Support Desk, Financial Crimes and Risk Management (FCRM) etc.
  • Provide leadership as a subject matter expert within the CMS team as well as to operations and sales teams as necessary.
  • Remain current on emerging trends / developments and grow knowledge of the business, compliance, related tools and techniques.
  • Contribute to and support a work environment that promotes teamwork, the customer and employee experience, quality, ownership and innovation.
  • Coach and develop junior talent.
